Quantum Education Professionals is seeking teachers for part-time and full-time roles for the 2024-2025 school year. We have partnered with multiple school districts for placements in early childhood, elementary, and secondary buildings.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to join our team in Gaston County, NC. This educator will be responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, ensuring their academic, social, and emotional growth. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Deaf culture, various communication modalities, and educational strategies tailored to meet the needs of students with hearing impairments.

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field.
– Valid teaching certification in Deaf Education or appropriate state licensure.
– Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or willingness to become proficient, depending on student needs.
– Experience working with children who are deaf or hard of hearing in an educational setting.
– Knowledge of auditory-oral methods, Total Communication, and/or bilingual-bicultural approaches.
– Familiarity with assistive hearing technologies and accommodations.
