Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned science instruction for middle or high school students
Develop and implement lesson plans that promote inquiry, critical thinking, and real-world application of scientific concepts
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments and provide timely feedback
Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and required documentation
Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families to support student success
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school initiatives
Integrate technology and current scientific research into classroom instruction
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science Education or a related scientific field from a regionally accredited college or university
Valid state teaching license/certification in Secondary Science
Strong classroom management and instructional skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
